JOB DESCRIPTION

The company is currently looking for a detail-oriented network/security administrator to be responsible for desktop, mobile, and network security, troubleshooting & maintaining network access and implementing network security policies and procedures at our organization.

Fast-expanding full-service language company specializing in over-the-phone interpreting, video remote interpreting, and document translation services.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage relationships with networking and security vendors.
• Installing, administering, and troubleshooting network security solutions.
• Updating software with the latest security patches and ensuring the proper defences are present for each network resource.
• Performing vulnerability and penetration tests, identifying and defending against threats, and developing disaster recovery plans.
• Configuring security systems, analysing security requirements, and recommending improvements.
• Monitoring network traffic for suspicious behaviour.
• Creating network policies, procedures, authorization roles, defending against unauthorized access, modifications, and destruction.
• Team with staff, managers, and executives about the best security practices and providing technical advice.
• Configuring and supporting security tools, such as firewalls and anti-virus software.
• Training staff to understand and use security protocols.
• Configuration, Moves, Adds, Changes within the network.
• Work with the IT staff to analyse select, technologies, hardware, and other solutions.

REQUIREMENTS

• An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, cyber security, or a related field. (3-5 years of experience may substituted for formal degree)
• Advanced security training certifications may be advantageous (CompTIA Security +, SANS, SSCP, etc.).
• A strong understanding and knowledge of computer, network, and security systems.
• Experience with Aruba, Juniper, Palo Alto, Cisco, or similar network hardware (Vendor certifications preferred).
• Experience working within Microsoft technologies frameworks, Server, Desktop, Azure, O365 (Preferred)
• Previous experience working within a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) network. (Highly desired)
• Good “systems thinking” and architectural mindset
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude towards customers and team members
